Car weights;

Kerb weight 1765kg
Max front axle weight 1195kg
Max rear axle weight 1200kg
Trailer wights;
Max braked trailer weight at 8% 2100kg
Max braked trailer weight at 12% 1900kg
Max unbraked trailer weight 750kg
Max draw bar vertical loading 85kg
Min draw bar vertical loading 25kg or 4% trailer weight
Max car & braked trailer weight at 12% 4210kg
Disclaimer: I got these from the 169kw engine rows of the technical information in my owner's manual. It does state that specifications may vary in other export countries, I guess differences in temperature, humidity etc will play a part. Don't blame me if you use these figures and something goes horribly wrong with your shiny new 2.7T! I would suggest that any Audi dealer worth their money would look up the figures in an owner's manual for you.
Hope this helps give you an idea of the kind of load you could pull. I seem to recall there's 2.2lbs to a kilogram, so maximum braked trailer weight should be around 4180lbs even on a 12% slope (check my maths though!). I'd agree with the comments generally about turbos and towing (although it's common to use turbodiesels in the UK for towing) in that obviously you will put much more loading on the turbos especially if you "just see how well it will perform with a load".
Perhaps Audi should make Quattro trailers and caravans? I can just see it now, aluminium framed trailers in matching paintwork with 17" alloys and independent 4-wheel suspension and 4 wheel steering...
