Default Trade car?

This summer I was thinking about trading in my 2000 A6 2.7T for another A6 2.7T will lower miles. Since used 2001 to 2002 A6 2.7Ts have depriciated so badly they are cheap. Would it be a better idea to keep my car with 73000 miles or trade it in on a 2001 to 2002 A6 2.7T with lower miles... say around 40k to 50k miles? I have only put 4000 miles on my car in 1 and 1/2 years and it has needed alot of repairs. I will be driving it alot more in a few months and am afraid the car will have alot more problems when driven more. Or should I just get an extended warranty on my current car?

Default Get an '02 or '03 with a late in-service date.......

that'll still give you full factory warranty for a couple of years if the miles are kept under 50k.....

Default extended warranty will prolly cost you $3k+ and you'll still have the same car. If you put that

money against an '02 or '03 as CEB suggests you'd have MUCH lower mileage, newer model and possibly get CPO for only a few thousand more. certainly worth checking out thoroughly.
