Default All cars depreciate.

It's a fact of life.

Default Re: Get an extended warranty and keep on motoring happily for another 50K...

I was a big fan of Audi when first bought the car. But time has soured me.

I do not like reading how one's turbos fried 1 month out of warranty. It's publicity like this that is affecting resale (along with may other factors like leases, discounts on new cars...)

I am just a bit fed up with my experience, sick of asking the dealer to check the TBB becasue I have read in news groups that there may be problems with these parts, and them telling me they have not heard of anything. Sick of having to fight for Toyota Corolla loaners, instead of getting an Audi, My friends that have Beamers not only get beamer loaners they often get a model step up. Audi has got to learn..

In retrospect I should have gotten a Extended warranty, but at the time A6's were very reliable (example all red in consumer reports) so did not feel the need. Now too much $$$$ for that piece of mind.

Default very true.

I'd like to see how you feel 3 years from now. I would hate to see your posts about blown turbos 3 months out of waranty.

I hope you have the Extended warranty.

Default I coudn't agree more. In the dictionary under Subaru it says...

See "Harley Davidson."

We have owned quite a few and they all start to leak oil after 50k miles, clutch arms squeek, and you can't keep the front end on the damn things aligned.

Default If you want resale value, buy an M5 or a Ferrari. Otherwise, get real.

Cars are an EXPENSE. Resale value is EASY to calculate before buying. If you didn't know about typical Audi resale value, and that was an important factor, you made a bad buying decision.
