Default Re: Evidence:

Maybe this is part of my past bias having been a former Nissan owner, but I'm impressed by the M45. It's different.

Only thing that might be a drawback in my estimation is, being originally designed for the Japanese domestic market, the interior space may not be as accommodating as the Q45...particularly the low roofline. If you're tall, beware.

Default Actually,

it's on the corner of the street where one would turn onto ours...but anyway, they don't really enforce the rule...but apparently they have the authority of the Scottsdale police to do so if they chose...I have no fear though...as I can't even afford the 2 cars we have for the 3 car garage!

Default If you can't see the difference...

between an Audi and a Subaru, then I would agree, the Subaru is probably for you.

I have nothing against Subaru, one may be my wife's next car. But there is no way on earth that I would ever try to say with a straight face that its handling, etc., compares to an Audi.

Good luck,
Jon

Default Subaru not that bad...

Their AWD is legendary...just like Audi. And what can you say about the WRX STi...nuff said. Drive one if you don't believe me.

In regards to the Turbo Forester...it fits in the small SUV market. Actually it is the only car in that market. Toyota and Honda will kill you if someone ever hits you and the build and quality don't even come close. Off the line on a straighaway this SUV can take most vehicles out there...slalom, hey this is an SUV what do you expect. So if you are looking for more utility, less cost to maintain, and a turbo charged four cylinder go for it.

2004 WRX STi
2000 Forester S

Default Re: Correct.

PERCEPTIONS is a very key word. We may differ a bit on opinion here.

Depreciation/resale value is also subject to demand/supply as well. Another factor that you may not have thought about is that there may be a lot of cars coming off leases these years in the cycle which floods the market. This may be just as large a factor in influencing residual values as well as the reliability issue.

And as I've mentioned, you're selling into a buyers' market, which will lock in the depreciation that you're complaining about, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Anyway, good luck with your Subaru. They're good cars, but they're aimed at a different market segment.
