Tranny acting funny...please help
Hi guys,
Just pick up a 4.2 3 days ago, got a little problem with the tranny and hope you guys can help.
I was driving on the freeway @ 65mph and all the sudden...CLUNK! Tranny went safe mode, check engine lights on... no 1st or 2nd gear, tiptronic won't work.
Got home restart the car and everything back to normal..drove it for another 10 mins, here we go again. Clunk and safe mode. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have something wrong with a clutch
which is causing a slip and you are getting "incorrect gear ratio" error....have somebody pull the codes....if this is what you get, you'll probably need a rebuild.
