My tranny has been slipping big time in pretty much all gears. So I took it to Amaco and they said basically rebuild or a new one. So my question has anyone dealt with Level Ten products before. They sell a "bulletproofed" tranny that will hold 600 hp to the wheels. What should I do.

...just for starters. Then you might move up to having a shop that specializes in Audi products take a look at it.
Amaco would be great if it was a Chevy three speed.

I know what you mean. But they said the tranny fluid was contaminated, all gears slipping, the torque converter does not lockup.

Probably need to get a re-built tranny from ZF.
I don't think Level 10 offers transmissions, only certain parts/kits. I don't even think there's a complete re-build kit.

I rebuilt my tranny and tried the L10 Torque Converter and the Valve Body. The Valve Body was terrible. The line pressures were set so high is "clunked" in every downshift and felt like the motor mounts would break off. When it arrived there were 2 broken solenoids (about $100 ea.) L10 was terrible to work with. I do like the improvements to the TC tho. Both the TC and VB can be done without overhauling the tranny. I did a full rebuild on mine with a local tranny shop. Having done all this I would recommend:
1) Talk to the dealer and see how much Audi will cover, this work is expensive, and you only want to do it once.
2) Save $5000 in the bank before you begin
3) Don't use Level 10 unless you live close enough to them you can see them face-2-face if you have a problem. Maybe use the TC, definately not the VB.
4) Find a very good tranny shop that has done this exact work before and make sure they will warranty it for some time. (Some of the gaskets we used leaked and required a 2nd replacement.)
5) Patience, this will be a pain in the @$$
Best of luck. And I am speaking from experience, sorry if I offend anyone who likes L10 stuff but I caught them in more than 1 lie to me and they were very unprofessional.
