tranny won't engage in any gears

What can it be? No error codes on the VAG, the tranny will go in limp mode only if I hit the gas and then there is a code on the TCM incorrect gear ratio. What can it be? Any suggestions will be appreciate it

Is the TCU swimming? Start by pulling up the carpet and taking a look.

If the TCU was wet will I still be able to talk to it using the VAG?
