Default Transmission output shaft seal leak
2001 A6 4.2 with about 44k miles on it. Original 4 years warranty was over in July and starting the CPO waranty with a $50 deductable. Will the transmission leak be covered? The car was bought as a Cert pre-owned .

Default Nothing is covered.
Turns out that *everything* is a "wear item" :-(

Sorry, I don't really know, but no one can say for sure because Audi warranties are like the shifting sands of a windy dessert.

Default If they don't cover that, please report back.
They damn well should. It's a known problem on that transmission.

Mine was covered just last week - '01 4.2 with 77k.
