Default Trucking cost from out of state?

Does anyone have an estimate as to what the average trucking cost would be for trading a car for one out of state. Say 350 miles away maybe? I've been told its gonna cost the dealer >$600 for this and its been added to the amount which I'll pay over invoice. We're now up to >$2100 over invoice with trucking charges included. Is that reasonable or can I do better?

I'm getting closer to my new A6... I can almost smell it. Hmmm. New car smell...

BTW, what's the prevailing opinion on a black exterior?

Later,
E

Default Door to door with bonded carrier should be around $350 to $400.

That is for a 3 car rig, and not exact time/date dependent. Usually takes 2 days.

350 miles? Make the trip... trucking is a hassle.

Default If you are anywhere near me, I'd deliver it for $300. but then...

it's highly unlikely anyone is near me 'cause I'm in Nebraska and I swear I am the only Audi enthusiast with in 500 miles!

Black interiors? Personally I can't stand them. Makes me feel too closed in, and you can see every last peice of dust, lint etc. I totally prefer a lighter grey or camel color.

Default Depends if the dealer has done this a lot or done their homework.

I swapped cars all of the time. The most complicated dealer trade and sale was to trade a car from SoCal to Washington state, then have that car from Washington brought to the new owner's house in Napa, while I flew up and brought the papers to sign and go over the car with him. A8 client. Very nice man.

Make a mini trip out of it and drive with the significant other to pick it up.

Default I would pick the car up myself-->

much more enjoyable experience that way. As far as a Black interior goes. I'd say it rocks.. The black leather shows no damage/wear after almost 3 years, and the only real problem is the vacuuming. I need to vacuum my carpet every 2 weeks.

Default Agreed...on both counts...black interior is 'da bomb'!

Seriously, zero wear after 31,000 miles and my fat a*s in it the whole time...leather still looks like day 1, dry matte finish, no shininess, no slickness, no wear...looks just like the passenger seat with ~8-10k miles of use by a 100 lb chick...
Black is the ONLY way to go, IMO...classic looks that stay classic and classy...and clean...I just dust every few days with Pledge wipes while sitting at red lights...and every few weeks I take the mats out of the front and bang on 'em to knock the sandy debris out...vacuuming is rarely necessary, for me.

I, too, would drive the car.
