Just got pair after market A6 Devil-eye (looks like the A5) style headlamps.
there is few problem comes up when i doing the reseach, so try to find some answer before i put them in.
my car is 03 S6 with factory HID and the annoying auto-level. the aftermarket lights doesn't and HID with is not a problem cuz i installed aftermarket HID kit, and thanx god the aftermarket doesn't come with the auto-level...
here is the question.
1, will after market 35w HID kit trigger a bulb waring in the dash? or i have to use a 50w HID kit?
2, most likely the auto-level warning light will on, how can i disable it? VAG-com will do it or i have to go to the dealer?
3, i am planning to lower the car in few month with KW-V2, will that trigger the auto-level warning light again?

Yes, but that's not the issue. HIDs are so glaring that they really need to be dynamically adjusted as the car moves and is loaded. No one is going to manually adjust their HIDs downward to compensate for a temporary load in the car and when the car goes uphill and downhill the HIDs are going to blind people. Which is why they come with dynamic leveling from Audi.

i see dodge rams with quad HIDs, very bright and of course no auto-level. if there is a law about auto-leveling, then tell cops to inforce it.
if u guys gonna go shoot all the after market hid cars, then u maybe can't even afford all the pellet...

Seems like one of the benefits to owning a C6 instead of a C5 is that most of the morons and kids can't afford them yet, so the forums are a lot cleaner and freer of bull****. This is one of those posts that belongs on the vortex, not on here.
