Are turbine style rims 16 or 17 inch?

turbine style???? if you're talking about the 9-spoke or 5-spoke, they are 17 in...
the 9-spoke aren't standard 4.2 rims, but are RS4-type rims and are available in 17" and 18" varieties

Actually i think they are 8 spoke (8 openings) that are found on the 2001 A6 4.2 model.
Hard to describe but basically, a pretty solid rim with very small openings.

Do you mean these?
