Turbo lag with 2.7?

I'm supposed to pick up my A6 2.7 on Thursday.
I've recently read some posts which talk about turbo lag with the 2,7 engine.
When I test drove the 2.7 (twice) I didn't notice this as being a problem.
Whats your take on this, those of you who have a 2.7, is turbo lag evident?

I have a 2.7T 6-speed and I love it. Is there lag? A little, but certainly not anything like other turbo cars I have driven or owned (my '87 Buick Grand National with a Pitbull chip has to be the King o' Turbo Lag).
If you're pleased with the car's performance, that's all that matters.
Enjoy your new car!

I'm getting the Tiptronic.
My first test drive was for an hour, the dealer just handed me the keys and told me to enjoy.
Honestly I didn't find any turbo lag at all.

the NA car seems to a more sensitive throttle. When I hit the gas on my 2.7 there is a very slight hesitation before the intended acceleration occurs. But when driving a NA car, when you hit the throttle, acceleration is instant (and not as powerful :-))

Usually when I am trying to make a "hasty" pull out from a parking lot, of course. I sometimes just hit the gas and get "surprised" by the cars bearing down on me!

The drive by wire feature hates sudden inputs on the gas. Its like its deciding what to do. At a standstill just stomp on the gas and for a second the car doesnt do anything at all, nothing , no rise of rpms, nothing, then it starts to go then the turbo kicks in. Its a 3 stage process, nothing, starts to move, then turbo joins in. Its almost better to gradually feed it gas.
So I think the turbo is getting all the blame but I think the drive by wire isnt helping metters any.

I think some of what people perceive a turbo lag can be attributed to the drive-by-wire and the tip transmission. There is sometimes a hesitation at launch that many people perceive as turbo lag but it is more likely the transmission or throttle.
