There isn't any - max torque kicks in lower than any other Audi engine.
Correct me if I'm wrong here people - about engine torque that is. I know the RS6 is 100 RPM after or so.

I think that's the tip Steve. When I keep it in the power band, or even accelerate of a stop
I notice no lag at all. I will say that it is easy to get caught in the wrong gear coming out of a tight turn, which will lead to lag.

Gang, I had a 2000 2.7 and recently traded for a 2002 4.2. There is significant turbo lag in the 2.7 tiptronic that doesn't exist in the 6 speed. If you can't write the check for the 4.2, aka, no turbo lag, get the 6 speed.
