Default turn signals

'01 A6 2.7T

Having problems with my turn signals. Seems that they will blink a couple of times and then stop blinking. Bulbs are OK. What could possibly be the problem? Is there a way that vag-com can verify what is wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I did. Just wanted to make sure that that is the problem and that it wasn't something else. Doesn't seem as though that replacing the part behind the hazard switch is a problem. I Vag'ed the car yesterday but no fault codes appeared. Did I do something wrong? Is there other ways of diagnosing this to be sure? Thanks for the response.

Seems like a straight forward procedure from what I've read. Is it located behind the hazard switch? Is there anything that I should be aware of?

The relay IS the hazard switch. Search "hazard relay" for more info

I noticed an article in the tech section for replacing the turn signal stalk. How can I be sure that this isn't the problem?

Default I know BD, Press, and 4D4. I wouldn't believe them either! lol

Sounds like this car needs to go to the dealer.
