Default Turn Signals bite the dust!! Low Blinker Fluid??

So I am driving around and notice that the right turn signal blinks 2-3 times, then blink a little erratically and then just plain stops. I try the left turn signal which seems to be a little more co-operative but then starts to follow its right sibling. So now it is kind of a hit and miss sitaution.

Seems like a common enough problem with the A6. Since the car is still under OEM warranty (4500 miles left), I guess the best option would be to drive down to the dealer and let him mess with the relays than myself. Please let me know if I am being too presumtuous over here in thinking that the relay behind e-switch is the prime suspect here...or maybe the blinker fluid is on the low side

Regards,

Zain

Doesn't sound like something simple like a bad bulb/connection, let the dealer fix it.

Sounds like the relay. Let the dealer worry about it. (easy fix for out of warranty though)

Default Yeah, probably fluid...

..I HIGHLY recommend <A href="http://www.kalecoauto.com/fluids.htm">Kale Synthetic</a>!!

Okay, it's most likely a bad relay. This is the back portion of the hazard switch.

Default Same thing happened to me, turned out to be the connector got loose...

If you remove the top cover of the cowling in front of the steering wheel, there is a bundle of wires connected to the signaling switch. The connector had come most of the way off, causing an erratic signal. It's worth looking at. I'd hate to have my car in the shop for half a day getting warranty repairs when it is a loose connector that takes a couple of minutes of your time. You might check that first, then take it to the shop

Default That is what I thought.....

saw the Kale product in one of your previous posts .

I already called Carousel Motors in Iowa City and have an appointment for next week. So far they have been really good unlike the stealership around your area....Jordan Motors, I think.

Zain
