Default Turn Signals On Steady/NOT Flashing

Guys, the turn signals (left & right) on my '04 C5 turn on but don't flash. However, when I put hazards on they flash regularly. Anyone know what's going on here?

Bad hazard switch. The triangle button needs to be replaced.

Correct. The hazard relay houses TWO separate relays, one for turn indicators, the other for the hazards.

So, even though the hazard switch appears to be functioning normally, it's actually causing the turn signals to malfunction? *Puzzled*

Yes...As I posted earlier, there are two separate relays in that part. Still not convinced? Check out Kris Hansen's tech article when he took one apart to repair it here: https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec160.shtml

Great post, Thank you for the link and great photo's "Boston Driver."

1. BUT I'M COMPELLED TO "ADD TO YOUR DESCRIPTION" ABOUT REMOVING DASH MOLDING. THERE ARE #6 CLIPS #3 ON TOP #3 ON BOTTOM.
2. FLASHER ITSELF, THE "METAL SPRING CLIPS ARE ON (EACH SIDE.) (NOT REALLY CLEAR AS TO WHERE THEY WERE.) So I broke the red diamond face off it trying to understand how it was clipped in there.
