Two Radio's Later....My Icelink has been installed!

The original had some dead pixels, covered under warranty replaces on Monday! So I'm in Best buy and I decided to have the icelink installed so I make my purchase and I'm on my way. I return the next day to have the icelink installed, two hours later as I have just sitting in the Magnolia section of the store relaxing I go to check on my car the response. Oh I can't get your radio out! So I rant and leave the store. I return the next day at 10 sharp, 30 minutes in and the installer states that he cant take the radio out, comes to find out they only have two VW keys. So I call the dealer can you pop my radio out so I can have an Ipod installed and the answer was yes. So off to the dealership I go. A guy from parts tried to get the radio out, then a tech, and the conclusion the radio is stuck and they need to get it out some how. So the car gets written up and need to have the radio replaced. So 90 minutes later I have my car with a radio out of a 2.7t on the lot. My dealer doesn't know that I know this but I will make sure that they know when the car goes in for service Friday. The radio they installed had some dried soda embedded in selection ****, the **** actual get stuck when trying to tune the radio, so Must I say 3 radios in 5 days but at least I have Icelink. It works ok; I'm really not impressed! I would have thought by this time the name would be able to scroll in the display. Trying to manage 5700 mp3's in 5-play list can be a pain. I will say the sound quality is excellent, but this first Mod to my A6 will probably be removed one it's confirmed that the Axxess Ipod integration tool, scrolls the artist name and such across the display. Sorry for the long post.

How can you drive and watch video ??? ;-)
Funny story...one of my pet peeves is people who do things while they drive. makeup, shave, read, cell phone, etc.
I was sitting at a light and my top was down and I heard classical music and then I heard a trumpet that was louder than the music and seemed more "live". I looked over to the car next to me and the driver was playing a trumpet!!
I'm glad it wasn't a trombone or tuba! ;-)
