I decided to put my Yakima rack on...thanks to 01Silverarrow and others. I made several adjustments--seems to fit the roof line above the doors without bumping into the trim better than before. I researched the Audi rack, but wanted to give the Yakima another try since I had so much invested in it already. So far so good. Seems very stable. I just need to be careful loading and loading.

I stopped at the bike shop where I bought the rack from and asked some questions. Of course the a$$hat said he's had no problems with Audis. On further questioning, he admitted never working on a C5. "If there is nothing in the tech notes, you'll have no problems--it's common sense." Gee, where have we heard logic like that before.....Oh well, nice weather ahead.
