Had the car into the indy again on my speed dependant "woofing" sound (no dog jokes, please).
The poked and prodded at everything and really didn't find a definite cause - in fact they said it was one of the tightest they'd seen recently. (Of course all the control arms and tie-rod ends have been replaced once already in my 62K miles). They did say that it was possible the passenger front wheel bearing was a little scratchy, but not enough to create the noise. Still they are going to replace it and I'm hoping that that's the problem.
Interesting thing the tech pointed out was the lack of clearance between the tires and the upper (curved) pivot arm that connects from the hub to the upper control arms. There's maybe an eight of an inch of clearance with my 235/45-17 Kumhos and S4 whls. I was really suprised. with wider tires there'd be rubbing for sure.
Will update in a couple of weeks after the bearing is done.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/660905.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/660905.phtml</a</li></ul>

smaller diameter and slightly higher sidewall which causes it to be closer.
What offset are your wheels?
