i have an audi a6 1.9tdi, the old module was water damaged, so i bought an used one with the same part number. first ,i thought it was a plug and play, ok, most of it, when plug in the new unit, the electric seat,mirror,windows,interior lights are all working fine now, just the central locking gives very strange issue.
1. remote is not working on the key fob. (put new batteries in )
2. even manual lock is not working properly.
if i want to unlock the car,instead i have to lock the car for about 20times, until the locking clicking sound is gone, then i unlock it manualy, all four doors will unlock.
when i did unlock the car, lets say im left something in the car, i unlock as i said in section 2, i have to wait about 1 minute, so i can lock the car again. i took it to a independent garage, the electrician is certain, the new module is the pain in d ***, it need to be recoded.
any idea??? i just purchased the vag-com, still waiting for it to ship to me. so any help would be great

just recieved my vag-com, hooked it up with my car...
first i tried to put d old unit in and try to get d code from in and rerite it in my new unit. no luck, the vagcom said(no response from d unit) so id say d old unit is completely toasted.
put the new unit back in.
have theres code pop up:
01560 passenger door 60-10-wont safe-intermittent
17664 p1256 g62, ect short or open(i checked this,there r 4 wires on d connector to d senser, but one is broken)so its dead on
17964 p1556 please register/activate intermittent
after i clear all d error code, its working as a charm. but if i take d key out of ignition and lock d car manually, it all comes back again, same fault.
also the remote is not working.

any ideas???????
