Try prying off the wire cover on the mirror and looking at the colors of the wires...

If colors of the wires below the connector match, then double check with a voltmeter and you are good to go...

I'm going to need to do this now. With only the Escort, one wire wasn't bad..

but I just got a Uniden BCT-12 scanner today. So two wires are just too much.

Save yourself a lot of hassle/time and do this....

don't make the mistake I did with this

and apply the things not deep enough into the space they will lurk in: once you crimp them, they are not coming off, and if you can't refit the cover you are out of luck .. I screwed up this way and in the process of removing the taps, broke the ground wire as well

it was a bad time all around for me.
I also found these radio shack taps didn't make a very good connection even after smashing them down with pliers, I still got intermittent power.

I hate mods that go wrong.. no criticism intended of the designer of the mod. I should have thought harder while doing it.
