Vacuum cap--where does it belong?
While doing the left side spark plugs (coolant bottle off to the side) I looked down and found a vacuum cap (for maybe 1/8" line, 1 to 1.5" long)on the crossmember. So where does it belong? Other cars often have vac trees and cap the extra ports, but I don't recall seeing anything like that on the 2.7T. I did a pretty good seach and didn't see any open lines, but of course there's so many hidden ones it'd be easy to miss.
I certainly didn't deliberately remove it, but did recently do valve cover gaskets and cam seals, so I certainly moved a lot of vac lines and secondary air plumbing. Car seems to run fine. I've occasionally gotten a 1131 code on hard acceleration, but the archives suggest that's an O2 sensor going (early).
