Default Valentine-1 problem...need some help

I have my V-1 radar detector hardwired w/ the concealed display unit. As of yesterday, when the radar first turns on it displays an "E" on the concealed display and illuminates the "back" arrow. When I push the button on the detector or the concealed display it goes through it's normal startup and then is back to normal (displays the "L"). Anyone have a similar experience?

TIA,
DJ

Default i get this from time to time

I think it might have to do with the connection to the fuse box. Basically i think the radar resets its self.

No, especially no mode with an "E" and the back arrow illuminated. I'll check the fuse connection..

Yes, but there is no "E". There is an "A" and two "L" modes, at least on the older ones!!

Correct... "E" it is not a "mode" it simply means some type of error. It's "hanging" during startup

Default Go to there website and punch in the S/N of your V1....

If it needs an upgrade then presure cust svc. about the "E" issue. They will take it back to run diag. and fix the problem and update it to the latest firmware for free of course. Keep in mind you won't have a V1 for a week or so. I did this and got it back in 8 days later with the latest firmware and no more "E" issue.

Should I ask them to upgrade it or will they do it automatically for my problem?
