Came out Sunday morning to put the car seat in to head to church, and noticed that there was frost on my rear window. It seemed a bit odd odd to me since it felt pretty warm. Well, as I walked behind the car I realized it wasn't covered in frost, but totally shattered.

As I was heading back to the house to tell my wife, a police cruiser pulls up to the house two doors down. It seems a group of misguided youths thought it would be a real hoot to drive down our street and shoot out car windows. 5 cars got hit, all on the same side of the street.

Luckily the window did not come apart and spray shards of glass inside. To my great surprise, the local windshield place was able to come out yesterday and replace the rear glass while I was on a business trip to NYC. They're bringing the car back this morning, is there anything in particular I should look out for? I'll check the defroster, the radio, and the wiper, but is there anything else?

Im guessing it was a BB/pellet gun right?

little schmucks drove through the neighborhood and shot up about 20 cars. My rear window on a Cherokee got hit.

The cop said for some reason, kids don't shoot a cars that are backed in.

Interesting; on our street all cars hit were indeed pulled in facing forward
