I have some unattractive noise in my car.

1. An intermittent hum from driver's side of the car. Not too loud so that the road noise masks the whole thing if the car is going any faster than 45 mph. But the sound is definitely there. It seems to jive with the exhaust note but the location isn't the same and neither is the tone.

2. buzzing noise from my headliner where the headliner meets the A pillars.

Anyone else have these probelms? If so, what was the fix?

MellonC....I think I might have the same intermittent hum that you've asked about from my car as well. Is your car a stick shift or tiptronic. I've identified the sound to be coming from the transmission. Also, it disappears after the oil temperature rises a little. I asked my service rep about it, and he had no clue. I've reported the problem to AOA. A representative is going to take a look at the problem on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted.

my car is a tip. mine is there all the time no matter the oil temprature. I plan to bring this up during my 5K service.
