Default good info on oem versus aftermarket caliper.. thanks dude! rotor options??

there are a few options out there to repalce our oem rotors... ecs-tuning.com 993tt rotor with the pad modification $690... bira's coleman replirotor $800?.. dba..$250 (disc brake australia) although at the moment precision brake company is not importing them, i just sent DBA an email checking on how i would go about purchasing them. .. alcon replacement rotors from stasis engineering $795.. jose from porttuning.com says he can get the zimmerman x-drilled from germany for under $150 for the pair but still waiting for that to actually materialize.
singletrack, what are you leaning on doing in the spring brake wise... i just may say screw it and get the stoptechs for around $1500 if one is willing to do a bit of shopping around to get that price.. regards.. john

Default I will probably go for the pad/rotor option.

Or at least that is what I have been planning on doing anyway. I'll probably try that first, although if it ends up being really expensive, I could be tempted to go with new front calipers/pads/rotors.

Either way I think I will need to upgrade the rear rotors, I think they may be a little warped right now.

But the spring is going to be for suspension mods and brakes to make my car track worthy. Just depends on the funds at the time : )

Default Re: I will probably go for the pad/rotor option.

I just purchased a brake set from Brembo (Calipers,Rotors, Pads and Hoses) for a BMW 5 series, but they are also available for the A4,A6,TT. The red ones look great. I don't know if it is overkill though

No such thing in terms of performance : ) All depends what you are using it for.

Cool stuff. If only there was something for the new non-HP-2 brakes. <sigh>
