Sure sounds just like bad front axle inner joints to me. Replacing the CVs should fix it. Worn out engine mounts can cause the axles to be put at stressed angles and wear them quickly and cause vibration.

I really hope it is the axles. If that turns out to be the issue, I'll put in a set of motor mounts, and possibly the trans mounts. I should know by mid-day Saturday if its the axles.

That was it Prospeeder. I changed out the axles yesterday, and the inner on the passenger side had just enough play in it to give off a vibration at certain angles. Its so nice having the car back to normal.

Good for you! I've had that problem on FWD Saabs but the vibration always came on acceleration or deceleration and was predictive of inner spider joint wear. Audis have always tended to have some driveline slop, but IMHO virtually any radial (twisting motion) play in those inner spider joints is grounds for replacement.
