Hello,
This is not an infamous 'my car is vibrating, its not the tires' thread!
Keep reading please.
I have s a 'buzzing' vibration in the steering wheel at idle. It gets worse when I shift to Drive or Reverse - and becomes more noticable if I turn the wheel left or right. This buzzing is just like the feel when riding on a lawn tractor.
At road speeds it is not as noticable.
A few months ago I had an indie shop look at it. They indicated I may be feeling fluid pulsing through the servotronic unit. They recommended just getting used to it - the cost of repair might be steep. However, after a summer of driving my A6 John Deer riding mower, I think it's time for some more opinions!
Have any of you guys had these symptoms? Thanks for your help!
Steve

I, too, have a buzzing like that and it's worse when the car is cold. I'm planning on checking the air filter, cleaning the MAF, and possibly changing the 02 sensors.

Does your vibration get worse when you shift from Neutral to Drive, or as you turn your wheel?
Interesting points - I should start with the basics.

The vibration I feel is worse when the transmission is in Drive regardless of wheel direction. I'm under the impression that my vibration is due to a low idle.
