Default Shouldn't even need an adaptor.

It's the same unit.

Just plug it into the changer cable if your care is equipped with one ( pre 2003's were pre-wired with the changer cable in the back of the trunk.

Default You dont need that adapter ....

The VW Phatbox comes with a cable that goes from the back of the phatbox to the cd changer cable. (A kind of rectangular connector)
The Audi one, although its the same phatbox, comes with a cable that goes to the audi cd changer cable. Round connector.

So if you have a cd changer cable in place already, then you need an adapter that goes from audi to VW. If such a thing exists. You could try and get an audi phatbox cable but I think Phatnoise dont support crossing car manuf.

Failing that, as in my case I am going to run a VW cd changer cable as my A6 is an '03 and didnt come with any changer cable at all. More on that when my VW phatbox arrives in a few days.

I wouldn't think so, I got mine on ebay for $360 but shipping to Ireland was the deciding factor. I cannot get an Audi one in Ireland.

Yep that the one I had to get. But that runs from the back of the radio to the trunk, fine if you want to go pulling at trim and seats etc.

The image I have here, is what I think you need. It would convert Audi to VW . I dont know where to get such a cable. Its only made up (obviously).
