Default Wandering problem on my 4.2, already did control arms fropm PureMS...

car still wanders some, and it's enough to make me believe it's not normal... I didn't feel a big difference before and after the control arm install either.

Tires are new, 18" RS6 wheels, no mods except for an M5 spoiler

maybe balljoints? control arms incorrectly installed?

Buy the lightest, strongest 17 inch wheels you can find and put good tires on them.

Default Tires worn? If not Roadforce balance all the tires, 4 wheel alignment? Tie Rod Ends? Could be lots..

of different things. Don't just start throwing money at the problem. Start with the simple things. Tire pressure checked? Like I said above are the tires new or worn. Worn tires can definitely make a car wander. Give us some info and we can diagnose it in more detail.

Did they align it, and is everything now in spec?

Default Here's what i've done...

new 18x8 RS6 rims and Kumho SPT tires right before the control arms, tried tire pressures at stock #'s and also even all around....

I am suspecting sticking calipers as well?

Default I don't get it...what do light 17's have to do with wandering? I have 18x8...

which I was under the impression would help stability? My car felt more stable when I had 18x8, 19x9, 19x10 on my TT vs. the stock 17x7.5

Default And after alignment were all the numbers in the rec. range?

I had some numbers out of tolerance and eventually (after several months) I figured out that this was due to one control arm being mounted in the wrong hole!

Anything still out of spec is a warning sign.

Default Agree - it would be cheaper to redo the alignment at an independent.

I suspect that alignment is off.
