Sacto Ming 2.7T

Earlier this week I posted the question about how much air is supposed to flow with this option. While I appreciated all the insights to the benefits and the "better than nothing" thoughts, they didn't really answer my question. I'm trying to see if in fact mine is really working properly. As I indicated, I can hear something going on, but I can barely feel any air flow out of the vents. I can hold a tissue in front of the vents and the air flow is not enough to notice on the tissue. If I put my hand in front of the vent, I can feel an ever so slight amount of air, but as indicated it won't even disrupt the tissue and it is definitely not obvious that air is flowing.

So for those who have this option how about rating it with the list below:

When the solar panel is running my AC/Blower fan it feels like:

A.) more than the Lowest setting for the fan when the car is on

B.) the lowest setting for the fan when the car is on

C.) less than the lowest setting for the fan, but its obviously blowing air.

D.) I can barely notice the air flowing, but it doesn't move a tissue

E.) Other, please describe air flow


For me the answer would be D.

The airflow from the solar powered fans is directly dependent on the amount of light on the solar panel. If the sun is partially obscured or is low in the sky the fans will run but will be barely running. On the othe hand if the sun is directly overhead on a clear day the fans will run significantly faster and will easily move a tissue that is held in front of the vent. This has been my observation.
