Default Warning Light Question on loaner A6

I have an A6 (probably a 2000) as a loaber car while my A4 is in the shop. On a long drive last night a warning light accompanied by a beep came on every time I exceeded 65 MPG. It was an orange "MPH" with a small "2" to the left of it. It only happened for about 1 1/2 hours of a 6 hour drive. With no manual in the car I could not look up what it was. My quess was it was telling me when I was exceeding the most fuel efficient speed. What was it?

probably a MPH warning. A6 has a setting to not exceed a certain MPH if you want it. Then it beeps at you.
