The factory warranty is up in August. I am debating:
1) Extended coverage through Audi. Do I need to have all services performed ad dealer for it to be valid?
OR
2) Extended third party coverage and have it maintained by a reputable indy shop (Streetwerke?)
Suggestions? Pros/Cons for each?

If you are still under factory warranty, you can get an exclusionary Warranty from dealer for a good price (after 2 hours of haggling). That is your best option, in fact its considered you BEST option by most people even including CPO route.
Get the Audi Platinum plan, the carriers are different for different dealers but coverage is about the same. You will be given a specific list of things that are NOT covered, ALL else will be covered.
DO NOT get a warranty that lists things that ARE covered.
Good luck and like PRESS said, you HAVE to use the search tab and spend an hour or two reading what we have been discussing for years.
