"Although this may not sound much, the [new] A6's weight distribution is now 59 per cent front/ 41 per cent rear, a much-needed improvement."<ul><li><a href="http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evo_news_story.php?id=44487">click</a></li></ul>

Interesting, that CVT must be heavy.I would never have expected it's balance to be worse than the V8

The CVT model is the lightest A6.

Yep, I realize in hindsight that its the FWD vs Quattro thing that must give it the worst balance

Default Those figures look fishy to me

Why is the 2.7t (tip) 150+ lbs heavier than the 2.8? That seems like a LOT of turbo plumbing to me. Yet the 2.8 is heavier in the rear than the 2.7??

If the figures ARE correct, I'm also suprised (and pleased) to see that my 2.7t 6spd is 160+lbs lighter than the tip version. I'd never seen a weight for the 6spd before. Seems it's the lightest of all the quattro versions. Cool.

Where did this table come from?

it's not the CVT but rather the lack of driveshaft and axle in the rear
