Waxy substance and oil dripping from under engine 6 weeks after 5k service.
Just noticed a whiteish waxy substance droplets on garage floor. Also noticed oil dripping from around center of engine. I haven't looked hard enough to determine if it's the tranny or the engine that the droplets are forming under but they are there.
Any ideas what the waxy stuff could be and why it's on my garage floor?
It's possible the oil could be from the wrench monkeys changing the oil and letting it splash all over underneath. I'm expecting better than that though from Audi.

White waxy stuff is Cosmoline protectant used on new cars during shipment.........
And it's probably dripping due to engine heat melting it. This is nothing to worry about, but the oil drip may be. Make sure the wrench monkeys didn't strip your oil drain plug.

Get the oil leak looked at. My 2.7T developed a drip from one of the transmission oil cooler lines and the fix was quick and easy.
Don't eat the white waxy stuff. You don't know where it has been.
