Sometimes its okay, and occassionally it's good.
Why should they treat you good if they charge $120.99/HR for labor? That's what my dealer charges......

My Audi dealer kisses my tush... but I do my part to make thier job easy.. I do research on the web, I keep track of all the service intervals and usually have service performed early. I feel that the service writers all know me, and look forward to helping me when I walk into the dealership.
I felt the same way when I owned a Saturn and the same when I drove a toyota. I thought each service dept was the best service dept I have ever worked with. When I was young and drove 5 - 10 year old cars, I thought my local mechanic was the best mechanic... I realy feel that people, even service department people, will act the way you expect them to. If you expect good service, and treat the service provider as someone who is providing good service, they will give good service. If you believe a dealer is out to screw you, the dealer will live down to your expectation.
I have two co-workers that drive BMW. They are real type A guys and when something isn't finished early, they call to ask what the problem is. They have both complained about local BMW service, but they can both be a PITA when they get in a "mood".
So, with that said, I still think Audi is better than BMW.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
This reminds me of an old swedish proverb.
"In every woman there is a Queen, if you speak to the Queen, the Queen will answer"
and the automotive equivalent,
"In every service writer there is a bastich, speack to the bastich, and the bastich will answer"

I believe it is my "job" to treat them professionally, and they generally treat me the same. I don't usually walk away feeling screwed, because I treat them with the same respect I want them to show me.
