What is the best radar detector out there for the California area?

Wanted to know if anyone knows the best detector for all bands of new police scanners and stuff like that.

but growing. You might want to supplement a good detector with an in-car police band scanner. Then you'll know if they're pacing folks or using aircraft. These get reviewed in the car mags every so often. They have clever names like Beartracker.

between San Diego and the inland LA region. San Diego city police have K band in all their traffic enforcement units. Other areas on the coast and on I-5 it seems to be less frequent.

I disabled the X band. Question for other Californians: have you seen any K band radar? I'd like to disable it (X produced 3/4 of the false bogies, K the remainder).

on the hand held units used by the motorcycle traffic enforcement. I see almost exclusively Ka in the LA area. I also have disabled the X band.
