Default The newer Audi factory set up is very slick and the bikes mount quickly

It (the baracuda system) is widely adjustable to different bike sizes and types and once set up for a particular bike it clamps in very quickly. Probably not the cheapest choice and it does require the factory cross bars, but works very well for me. It is very solid.<ul><li><a href="http://collection.audiusa.com/store/subcategory.asp?parent%5Fcategory%5Fid=11&amp;cate gory%5Fid=72&amp;subcategory%5Fid=332">http://collection.audiusa.com/store/subcategory.asp?parent%5Fcategory%5Fid=11&amp;cate gory%5Fid=72&amp;subca

Default Huge thread on this in the last month in the allroad forum

Go search around over there; you'll know the thread when you see it.

I've got Thule bars for both Audis, and one of the previous generation ski carriers that I use for extra luggage space. The Thule system works great on both cars.

Default Do you use it with a road bike?

Looks like the front wheel "cup" is pretty big...that works out okay with 700c's? Tempting.

Default No, with off-road bikes in various sizes.

The front track is wide but tapers down as it gets deeper and has a quick release retaining strap. I doubt it would be any less stable with a narrow tire because the arm holds the frame at a fairly high point.

Default Don't know, I've heard that the Audi stuff is made by Thule but I'd check

all the details before spending the money.
