What are the chances of getting a B7 S4 steering wheel to work in my 02 S6?

I currently have the 3 spoke wheel with Tip buttons, but I lust the B7 S4 wheel with paddles and multifunction buttons.
Is there any hope for me or possibly other options that offer the same combination of tip paddles + multifunction buttons?
I STFA but the most I could see were 03 S6 wheel with paddles or 4 spoke tip + MF, but neither offer enough to make me want to mess with my current set up. I though NXSJR got a C6 wheel mounted to his car, maybe the B7 wheel is similar?

The big issue looks like it's the fact that our C5s have single stage airbags, while later body styles (C6, B7) have dual stage airbags. No one has figured out a safe way to connect a single stage airbag controller to a dual stage airbag, and I'm just not willing to risk compromising the safety of my car for a super sweet steering wheel.

...nsxjr and I tested a C6 A6 wheel last year....tip paddles worked...but not MF buttons.
Bummer too...because I wanted the additional functionality of the "voice" buttons for Bluetooth etc.
Therefore, I settled for the C5 tip/mfsw. It set me back about $200 (out of pocket) - after selling my S6 tip wheel.

Is this still stillborn..there is a guy over a2oc who has successfully installed a new TT wheel on a A2...I think you need a corresponding slip ring and a later MFSW controller
You need to use a steering electronic module capable of interfacing with the newer, scroll type wheels (these use a protocol called LIN bus, version 2, as opposed to LIN bus version 1.3 as in the push button type steering wheels).
The trick is to only partially power up the control module, so that only the MFSW part is working and you must have a CAN bus in the car for the infotainment system, so for example, pre-2002 A2s are out for this mod.
So I think ots possible with a little perserverance.

Apologize about the double post

Even if the control interface issue is solved, it still leaves the problem that the airbag in the newer wheels is a 2 stage airbag (and has 2 power leads) while the C5's airbag controller is single stage and only provides a single power lead.
There does not seem to be a safe way around that fact other than replacing the *entire* airbag system including controller and possibly sensors.
