I'm still looking for a good MP3 playback solution for my A6. I can't understand why someone doesn't just make a drop-in componenet that responds to CD changer inputs and plays back MP3 play-lists. I may have to design the thing myself.<p><a href="mailto:jim@vipmail.com?Subject=AudiWorld Post">Jim</a>, <a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=5430">'00 A6 4.2</a>

Kenwood and a few others are starting to make MP3 players for the car that are read off of CD ROMS burnned at home. But if your an audiophile, why would you even listen to MP3's?<p>Greg

Cool, I like.........I'm trying to think of something for my A6 2.7T that won't be here until October. I work for Budweiser and right now I have DBUDMAN. Any suggestions how to incorporate Beer/Budweiser or Hockey with AUDI?

You could always burn the CDs yourself and stick em in the cdplayer... or rig up a PDA with lots of memory and use one of those tape to CD converters. Of course, that would kill the point of being an audiophile since the quality isn't that great, but hey, it works ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
my setup for mp3s on car:
casio e-100 w/16 megs plus 32megs of music
tape to cd converter from a cd-player
voila, a simple and (idiotic?) way of listening to mp3s on yer A6

I stayed with the "keep it simple" solution - I burned 6 CDs and keep 'em in the changer. As I get bored I swap them out.
I got the Kenwood MP3/CD player for my partner -- still waiting (2 mos.) for delivery.
Cheers,
Marc
