What does this mean on my information display (O) ? do i need to get my brakes checked?

For a little more $1550, you could do Soptech's. Mine came up twice last month, but not anymore....

Car is still under OEM warranty for another 4k. Guess I better call the dealer.

It means you have another 5k miles left on your pads

It's the brake pad sensor telling you that your pads are getting down to the end of their life. If it just came on, I'd say you have another 5k miles to go before you run out of pad material.

I replaced with ATE Powerdisc rotors front, OEM rotors rear, Mintex pads... roughly $600.
