Due to an accident I changed to a 2002 bumper. Follow the link. I used the same tips as TeddyBgame.

I did a Magnaflow # 35123 (3.5")

Like Ted, I too was rear ended and replaced my bumper with an '02. However, you do have the option to cut out the stock bumper instead. I also had the tips powdercoated to Flat Black.

I used the 3.5 angled tips on my 2000 A6 and it looked very stock...

3.5" tips just right..IMO 4" is too much. Consider oval cans Vs. round / paint valence
