What Fault Code is this ?????
We were on vacation for two weeks and the dreaded "check" engine light came on.
I went to a Mobil Service station and they pulled the folloing fault code:
CODE PO421 and then it says on the write up "Warm Up Catalytic Efficiency Bank#1"
It then states (the service person) code is not in the Mitchel Diagnosis.
Anyone have a clue on this?

I have the same code on my 2000 2.7T. It is listed in my Bentley's manual and you are correct, it is the Warm Up Catalytic Efficency Bank 1. I reset it with VAG COM, but it returns in a day or two. As soon as I download more software for the OBD reader, I believe the sensor can be adjusted. Does anyone out there know if this item is covered under the 80K mile warranty for emissions?
