The TIP is electrically activated, and a shift into Reverse while the vehicle is moving is locked ou
I don't know the exact speed on the TIP (5 mph?), but virtually all modern automatic transmissions are designed so they won't go into Reverse while the vehicle is moving. I wouldn't try/trust it, though.
