Home depot also sells a little spray can of thread cutting lube...it works wonders.
Keep the drill speed down and the pressure up.
Drills are built to cut, not wear.
Otherwise you might as well just go with a grinding type tool.
Can always go EDM but that's quite spendy. If you break off a carbide bit and can't get it out, you may have to. That's the way to go if you break off a bolt extractor in a hole....don't ask me how I know this...
