OEM=rubber->baby powder works great. H-Sport=urethane->thick lythium grease included.

Default Thanks! The lithium grease is now gone from the original installation.

I have some lithium grease in the garage, but might have to look for some powder!

Tomorrow I'm doing a bit of trouble shooting on the H-Sports, and might even resort to the OEM bar for a moment to help narrow the issues down...

I asked that a couple days ago and was told to use nothing on OEM. (And I did.)

Default Available at most auto parts stores, or use what they sell as boat trailer grease

The property you're going for is resistance to being affected by heavy contact with water (under the car). Boat trailer wheel bearings obviously have this as a major issue. I've had very good experience with it over the years.

Default Slow down boss. My mechanic said H-Sport requires a specific grease....

Of course it's left my mind right now, but to use a grease gun as the H-Sports have grease fittings you can lube directly in. He was specific to say if you used anything aside of it, you would have creaking noises. Certainly NOT baby powder!

I'm pretty sure it's on H-Sports web site. Give me a minute to track down the info (mabey AUJ is right) but I recall something else specific is needed.

Default I was going to use the powder on the OEM's not the H-Sports (duh?).

And I searched the Hotchkis site...no information about what to use. Guess that I can e-mail them and wait another week... Also, I'm not looking to just add some grease via the fittings...there's a problem so the bars are coming off and getting re-installed - from scratch. I will probably put the OEM S6 bar back on there first for a test drive to isolate the creaky-rattle noise that I'm hearing down to the H-Sport bar (this is a rear-bar issue only).

Goddamn this is getting tiresome - I might just put the OEM's back on and sell the H-Sports.

Default Yeah, if there's no trouble fitting them back on (I don't expect there would be), I'll not use

anything. Besides, I don't think that I have any baby powder. Thanks for the note!
