for the 8 pivot bushings on mt MTB bike <img src="http://www.carbonLORD.com/Audi/KestrelDH.jpg"> is the same grease I can use on the H-Sports I was told. It is a Teflon-Fortified Synthetic formula, which will not thicken in the cold and is completely water resistant. I remember being told to make sure it is NOT water based (obviously).

Or link the threads again. Interesed in the noise you are hearing and when it occurs. How long after install did it happen and why you are so quick to switch back, it must be a persistant bad noise huh?

It's Finish Line brand, came with the grease gun (which fits the H-sports fittings as well) for a whopping $18 total. I bought it like 5 years ago (mabey even longer) but that was it. I know it states for bearing use, but my mechanic said it will do the trick on bushings, which again it has worked on my non bearing bushing pivots on my MTB bike for 5 years, (which are similar to the H-Sport mounts by design).

There were a lot of other possible variables/components that might be te culprit as some mentioned. I hate rattles and noises.
Keep us posted an good luck on a quick fix.

to work on the bikes in the basement...it's really nice to have a dedicated spot for a change instead of working on them in the living room!

It may help getting it on the bar, but I doubt it will stay there long. It's really easy putting the bushings on with no lube.

... are still hurting. I spent a couple of hours staring at (and man-handling) those parts!
