6.59 sec 0-62 for the manual.
These tests have all been done with the use of a fifth wheel.
I have noticed that many car magazines are not very precise in the way they test cars' performances, and some just take the manufacturers' figures.
If the 540 manual was sub 6 seconds than it should be quicker than my S6 at both sea level and altitude right?
Well it is not. With 540's Step I just pull away, with manual ones in third gear I also pull away strong.
A good example on how this figures are useless, is my wife's 325 Ci for which BMW AG claims 7.2 seconds 0-62 mph. Well the S6 is much much quicker and we had them side by side. In fact after 1st gear I was more than a car lenght ahead, thereafter, it was even a contest, 7 or 8 car lenghts by the time I was in fourth....
That is why I don't believe much the 0-60 or 0-62 claims,
