What is the service interval for timing belt

Disregard what anything or anyone might say and do it by 60k miles...
...reports over the last several years are rampant with complaints of a broken timing belt prior to the 90k miles listed in some manuals.

Does the "Assured" warranty cover this? (more)
I would assume not if it is a scheduled item but i would suspect they would cover damage if it blew up on road PRIOR to the suggested 70 or 90K or whatever the mileage it says to do it is?
