No, no tricks under my hood.....
I was feeling "punchy" after a bad day in the office dealing with some of my least favorite customers!
However, The Ford Lotus Cortina I used to vintage race was modified for racing and the Trick Racing Fuel (that was the brand I used to buy) really gave it extra power. But you are talking about an engine that was built for it and burned lead! None the less, that engine got rebuilt 3 times in 7 years of racing with that fuel and the conditions that racing brings with it! An expensive hobby!
